In September of 1979, Pastor/Developer George Lusk began preliminary work toward forming a new congregation in Gig Harbor. Worship services began on the first Sunday of Advent at the Goodman Middle School gymnasium. In May of 1980 the location was moved to the Masonic Building, where services are still being held.
